SUMMARY:Second International Environmental 'Omics Synthesis (iEOS) conference
DESCRIPTION:http://www.environmentalomics.org/ieos2014 \nWe are pleased to announce that registration is now open for the second International Environmental ‘Omics Synthesis (iEOS) conference on ‘omics applications\, tools and resources focused on the environmental sciences. \nThe meeting covers genomics\, metabolomics and other high-throughput approaches in biology (‘omics). The meeting is targeted both at current and future users of ‘omics\, and for developers of bioinformatics and ‘omics technologies. \nThe conference includes dedicated introductory talks and training sessions on day one\, for those who are new to the field\, followed by two days of world-class science presentations delivered by several international leaders in environmental ‘omics. These are followed by a full day of advanced computational biology training and a workshop on Adverse Outcome Pathway Risk Assessment. The conference will promote exchange of ideas between all of these groups. \nWe encourage submission of abstracts to be considered for oral and poster presentation\, and in particular encourage submissions from PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. Bursaries may be available. \nTo register – with optional submission of an abstract – see: http://environmentalomics.org/ieos2014-registration/ \nREGISTRATION AND ABSTRACT DEADLINE: 28th July 2014 \n  \nCONFIRMED KEYNOTE SPEAKERS: \n\nProf Neil Hall\, University of Liverpool\nProf Gerald Ankley\, US Environmental Protection Agency\n\n  \nCONFIRMED INVITED SPEAKERS: \n  \nSESSION I. Archaeological ‘Omics – Learning from the past to inform the future \n\nProf Dan Bradley\, Trinity College Dublin – Ancient population genomics: do it all or not at all\nDr Logan Kistler\, Pennsylvania State University – Megafauna\, climate change\, and domestication: Using archaeogenomics and integrated datasets to study crop plant evolution in ancient ecosystems.\n\n  \nSESSION II.
