Patrick Trainor

Patrick Trainor

Patrick Trainor received his PhD in Bioinformatics, along with masters degrees in Biostatistics and in Mathematics from the University of Louisville (Kentucky, USA). As a graduate student he worked on characterizing the proteomic and metabolomic differences between subtypes of myocardial infarction (heart attacks). Additionally, he worked on developing novel Bayesian statistical approaches for making systems-level inferences given untargeted metabolomic analyses of extracellular samples (serum / plasma). Currently he works as a Bioinformatics Data Scientist at DiscernDx in Palo Alto (California, USA) developing bioinformatics pipelines for LC-MS, as well as building statistical and machine learning models for diagnostic applications.
